Beach Day – a wild success!

If you walked down Tamaki Drive on February 18th, you would have heard the party music first. Then you would have seen the smiles, and kids running around with candy floss in one hand and a Nice Block in the other. The sun broke through an ominous forecast and the Brothers in Arms 10th Annual Beach Day charged ahead.

More than 150 young people, mentors and their families + friends descended on Kohimarama Beach for a stunner day: we had boats towing biscuits on a constant rotation, beach volleyball, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and a killer burger lunch.

Every year, this day is a standout hit with our young people and their families – making memories, connecting with their mentors and soaking up the sun. The good people of Kohimarama Yacht Club have made this day a reality for the past 10 years: we are so grateful for the investment they’ve made in countless young people’s lives for the past decade.

We couldn’t have pulled it off without our top team of volunteers (you know who you are, and you are AMAZING). Also, thanks to the genius of Sherry Kitchen Catering and Circus Circus for the delicious spread, and the generosity of the folks at Pub Charity, Nice Blocks and Ferg’s Kayaks for donating toward the event.
